"Before there was ever a Superpark, there was a Superpipe. Back in the early 90s, I proposed a story idea to Snowboarder magazine, let's build the biggest and best halfpipe possible, invite the best riders, and see what they could do. That culminated in the first-ever event where riders rode a super-size halfpipe. It was up in Blackcomb on the glacier in the summer. Brushie was one the stars of the event. This was before there was even such a thing as a pipe dragon.
The event was a watershed moment in professional snowboarding, in my opinion, changed the trajectory of the sport long-term and Brushie's performance at the event played a huge role in that shift." Sean Sullivan
